A New Design Team Member...

It's Here! The First Release Day of our images and our newly formed Ethereal Forest Designs Store! There are 27 images and sentiments for purchasing with more to come each month. The design team has been busy creating cards this past week using the wonderful images and we look forward to more from them in the next few months! Unfortunately, Carla Hiebert had to leave the design team for personal reasons, and we wish her well! We were lucky enough to ask Karen Liddle to join the team and she agreed! Meet Karen:

"I've been married to Dave for 25 years and we have 2 great kids, Rebekah, just turned 18 and Kristopher who is 12.

I work from home designing and making wedding cakes and other celebration cakes, though I must admit, I prefer making the wedding cakes. I get so much satisfaction when the bride and groom-to-be, come to view their cake, just before their wedding day. I've been doing this for the last 8 years and 4 years ago I had an extension built onto the side of my home, especially for my card making. Since I took up card making, this now shares the same space, but I must admit the card stash takes up most of the space!

I've been crafting in one way or another for as long as I can remember. I come from a family of knitters and chocheters, so can do both. I've done lots of dressmaking including wedding and bridesmaids dress, curtains, cushions, etc. I've also done a lot of cross stitching, though I've not done much since I got into card making 5 years ago. Now I never buy a card for any occasion and I even make all my own Christmas cards, and also cards to sell through the year.

I love rubber stamping, and think digital downloads are amazing and have built up a nice collection over the last few years. I like to colour my images with either ProMarkers or Distress Inks. I also love to make my own flowers for my cards. I've dabbled a little big in scrapbooking, but I'm still not sure whether I enjoy it or not, because I find it hard to fill in all the space!

Elymira Sneak Peek...

Today is Day 6 of Ethereal Forest Designs Sneak Peek, and we've been busy working on the store's website all day! The images are all ready to go and we just have to add the "shopping cart" buttons and we'll be officially ready for Monday's Release!! We are unveiling 27 images and sentiments and we are looking forward to seeing what others create with our digistamps!

Meet Betty Roberts, another Design Team Member:

"Hello, my name is Betty, and I am a mother of three (hopefully four someday), and wife to a man I can't stop hugging and kissing! I started scrapbooking and rubber stamping during my Junior High and end of High School years. Of course, back then, a scrapbook meant paper clippings... not mine! I love to draw and create so I would always doodle around my photo albums.

I bought my first stamp at the mall, and thought to myself, "These are expensive, I will never have a collection!" That was many, many, many some 4000+ stamps ago (I just recounted three days ago)! I recently ran into the whole digi stamp world ... here I go again!

I love working with all stamps, clear, wooden, unmounted, digi, you name it! I am excited to be a part of Ethereal Forest Design's DT! "Hi, I'm Audrey Gonzales, and I am blessed to be able to work part time from home. I voluntarily run our small community water system and make and sell crafts for a local crafts store. I've been scrapbooking and stamping since 1997, but just recently got into cardmaking and I have to say, I am addicted!!!

I've been married 22 years and I am a Mom to three wonderful kids, 2 boys and 1 girl. We live out in the country with our two Labs, Cash and Holly and one cat, Pierre.

Today is Day 4 of our Sneak Peek Week! We are getting closer to our release date of March 1st, when we unveil our new store and you can purchase the wonderful images our design team has been using on their gorgeous creations! We're ready to introduce you to another one of our design team members and encourage you to visit all of their blogs!

Meet Carla Heibert:

"I have been scrapbooking for about three years and discovered card making about a year ago. I love working with both traditional stamps and digital ... I love the variety of images available.

I live in Manitoba, Canada but am from Texas. My husband is from Canada so I have been in Canada for nearly ten years now. I have two adorable pugs and feature them along with my cards and scrapbook pages on my blog.

I love learning new techniques and would happily stamp and craft all day, but instead I work full-time in my paying job by day (accounts receivable) but my evenings are spent stamping.

Today is Day 3 of our Sneak Peek Week and our designers have created wonderful cards with our new images to be released on March 1st. Please check back with us everyday so that you can see the new creations from our design team.

We'd like to introduce you to Shirley Chillman, another design team member:

"Hello, everyone, I was born in the UK and now live in Ireland with my wonderful husband Andrew who truly is the light of my life and if not for him I would not be writing this bit about myself today.

I have two fabulous boys and 4 wonderful grandchildren. I've always wanted a girl and I have that now with my 3 fabulous granddaughters and not forgetting my number 1 grandson.

I started crafting a long time ago... all the usual: knitting, sewing, cross stitch. My first love was always sewing but had to give it up when my hands started to ache one day and then very gradually my whole body (nearly bedridden), but found a wonderful doctor who finally diagnosed Rheumatoid Arthritis, and now I am on medication and nearly my old self again.

I teach card making classes in my own home on a Monday and Tuesday evening and also on a Saturday in our local craft shop.

I only started blogging at the end of September after I had an operation and wasn't able to drive for 6 weeks, and WOW, a new world opened up for me. The rest is history as they say and here I ma part of the new and talented design team for Ethereal Forest Designs and so looking forward to using their wonderful images on my cards.

Meet Charlene Driggs:

"My name is Charlene Driggs. I share my life with my wonderful and supportive husband and a crazy Goldendoodle named Chloe. We have two grown sons, one beautiful daughter-in-law, and 2 precious grandchildren.

I've always been involved in some type of craft. I enjoy sewing, embroidery, counted cross-stitch, crochet and making paper flowers. I especially love to cook and bake. I mill my own wheat and make my own bread and flour mixtures. Many years ago, one of our friends referred to me as the "cookiebaker" because I bake hundreds of cookies every Christmas season as gifts for all our friends and neighbors. The name stuck and is my avatar on my blog and stamping network sites.

I began my stamping and paper art obsession about 7 yrs. ago. I'm a self-taught paper artist, learning primarily online through other wonderful bloggers and stamping networking sites. As a former Stampin' Up hobby demonstrator, I've had the privilege of addicting...um, make that teaching some of my closest friends the love of paper art.

My favorite paper art projects are gift sets. I love to take an ordinary everyday item and turn it into something beautiful with the use of paper and ink and then combine it with a beautiful card or tag. My style would probably be considered eclectic although I get the most pleasure from the more elegant styles.

I believe each day is a gift waiting to be opened. Sometimes good, sometimes bad, but always interesting.

"Hi, I'm Melissa Craig. First and foremost, I am a child of God. Without my faith in Him, I'd have nothing. I'm a wife and mother of 3 amazing children. I have been paper crafting for nearly 12 years. It's my passion that borders obsession. When I am not playing with my rubber stamps, ink and digi-stamps, you can usually find my nose stuck in a book.

"Hi, I'm a fabulous mom of 3 extraordinary adults who are the lights in my life! I live in upstate New York, but am originally from Virginia. My hero will always be my daddy, whom I miss every moment of my life. I'm an artist by trade, dabbling in a life full of color. I think I've explored every craft on the market, with my latest fascination being paper crafting. I enjoy scenic stamping, card making, paper embroidery, floral punch art, photography, and encaustic art. My best friend is my sister, Robin, who encourages me to be more than I ever dreamed. We are currently looking for talented artists for our new Digital Stamp Design Team! Our DT term will run approximately 3 to 6 months and anyone is welcome to apply. Please read the information and requirements below carefully before applying for the position.

Requirements: You must be committed to your term, and be able to follow instructions on time. For every digistamp you receive, you will be required to post to your personal blog using our digistamps as the main focus with a minimum of 4 - 6 per month. You will be asked to participate in challenges and events during your tenure.

You will Receive: Each month's newest digistamp releases, and a Design Team Badge for your blog.

To Apply: Send 4 samples of your best work to (100kb or less) Darsie Bruno, our Design Team Coordinator by February 15th, 2010. Be sure to include your full name, address, phone number, email address, any past Design Teams experience (please supply links), any publications your work has been in, and a link to your blog. NO Previous DT experience necessary!

Unfortunately, Darsie will not be able to respond to each application, but if you are chosen, you will hear from her no later than February 20th. Your term will begin on the 20th of February and you will be required to join a Yahoo Group for our communications. We are looking forward to seeing your submissions!

The cards were created by Darsie using "Elymira the Elephant" and "Jewel". Sandy Hulsart, a very talented designer, has been creating cards with our images! See her postings using "Elmer" and "Elymira".
